Marigold Salve

2 cups of marigolds washed and added to a large mason jar then covered with sunflower oil. Store in dark place for 2 weeks and up to 1 month.

Once the marigold mixture is ready strain and add to a pot over the stove on low heat. Add 1/6 cup of water and stir in. Add lid and allow oil to heat.

Remove lid after about 20 minutes then add 2/3 of a cup of beeswax. Stir until the wax has fully melted then add to containers.

Great for burns, bug bites and more.

My husband uses this when he’s out of town working. Sometimes after grinding a cement floor there will be little fibres that will stick to his skin and it irritates his skin and he scratches it. After a shower he will use this Marigold Salve and it works wonders! By the following morning everything is cleared up enough that it no longer feels itchy and heals.
